Illustration / Fine Art Portfolio

About

This program is designed for developing admission portfolios for art colleges and related majors, including but not limited to illustration, fine art, and design majors. Emphasizing the creativity and interests of individual students, this program will help to build a balanced portfolio that exhibits problem solving skills in a visual context using color, design concepts, and rendering techniques.

Level 1: Foundation Art

Level 2: Advanced Art

*Prerequisite: Foundation Art

Level 3: Illustration Portfolio or Supplemental Portfolio

Why are prerequisites important?

Prerequisites are a way of making sure that students, like you, enter into a course or subject with some prior knowledge. This, not only helps the instructor to teach at a certain level, but it also helps students to feel more comfortable and confident with the subject matter.


Class Recommendation

Figure Drawing Practice & Live Figure Drawing

In figure drawing, you can learn how to capture action from the movement of the body to the balance between proportions to tensions. And this is the basic knowledge for every artist. Figure drawing also is an essential subject in every art college portfolio and can be used for various industries such as fashion, animation, gaming, etc.

  • Date: Every Sunday (Live Figure Drawing is only available for last Sunday of every month)

  • Time: 10am-1pm

  • Materials: Newsprint, Charcoal, Pencils & Erasers
