Advanced Art

About

Advanced Illustration program is a desirable course for any student who wishes to prepare the admission portfolio. This is a required class for students who wish to join the college admission/supplemental portfolio. This class will provide students with the necessary foundational skills to enter and be successful in the Portfolio class. The program focuses on advanced drawing, painting, and use of 3D media, focusing on creative pieces that will enable students to communicate their ideas in a visual context when they move onto the Portfolio class.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the program, you should be able to:

  • Evolve fundamental painting and drawing skills

  • Create 3D media artwork

  • Be professional in figure drawing

  • Identify form, space, and balance through sculpture, installation art, and material study

  • Prepare and present variety of work in a unified voice

  • Develop different styles to express your creativity


Curriculums

Level 1: Foundation Art

Level 2: Advanced Art or OCSA Portfolio

*Prerequisite: Foundation Art

Level 3: Illustration Portfolio or Supplemental Portfolio

*Prerequisite : Advanced Art

Why are prerequisites important?

Prerequisites are a way of making sure that students, like you, enter into a course or subject with some prior knowledge. This, not only helps the instructor to teach at a certain level, but it also helps students to feel more comfortable and confident with the subject matter.
